The Assassin

The Assassin is one of the classes in the game Forge.

Assassins are deadly combatants and masters of deception. They can be armed with poisons, daggers, and the ability to shift into the realm of shadows. Equipped with light armor, they are vulnerable to coordinated attacks.

Class Role[]

The Assassin is a high damage and DPS melee class that obtain's its survivability through the use of agile movement and invisibillity. They have skills designed to focus down and eleminate individual targets with impunity.

The assassin has no damage component to his movement abillity, which means that he has the smallest damage range in the game. This is heavily compensated by his movement prowess.

The assassin utilizes stacks of puncture to ensure his targets stay inside his range.

Class Skills[]

Strike Melee 90 0 AA None
Puncture Melee 30*5 20 AA Puncture
Pantera's Kiss Melee Variable 10 10 Deals damage with Puncture stacks
Shadow Leap Ranged None 10 12 Move Assassin behind target

Shadow Shift Melee 0 20 20 Slows, makes both Invisible
Stealth Self (maximum) 9*Puncture On-hit 0 5 Slow
Smoke Cloud Self Aoe 0 20 10 All Skills that effect targets in the cloud Miss

Skill notes and uses:

Strike, Puncture and Pantera's Kiss all deal slight bonus damage when attacking the foe's back.

Using Stealth as an offensive tool to boost the damage of your next Strike attack can be a huge bonus, depending on the amount of Puncture Stacks.

Use Pantera's Kiss after you have three or four stacks of Puncture

Using Disorienting Strike right out of Stealth may be tempting, but if the target is heavliy punctured you may be sacrificing about 50~60 damage, and wasting the beneficial Slow the Stealth attack provides by over-riding it with a stun.

Shadow Shift is a great way to separate a Shaman from his healing target, and an equally effective method of removing the Shaman from his guarding.

Smoke Could allows you to attack targets with impunity, even in large groups.

Vaklndr History[]

The Iskime people lived in the great North, where the sun does not show its face for months at a time. When the Vaklndr conquered their world, a small sect of the Iskime people remained true to their culture. While the Vaklndr only honored face-to-face combat, where they could see the face and eyes of their opponents, the Iskime people worshiped Pantera, the goddess of the night, and trained their warriors to be agile, masters of shadow and deception. True to their Iskime heritage, Assassins refuse the heavy armor of the Warden or Ravager.

Vaklndr Companion[]

Like all who wish to battle on the planet Forge for the glory of Ymil, the Assassin must earn the favor of the gods. If successful, an avatar of Inua, in the form of an ancient Panther, brings them to Forge and acts as their companion.
